My first Christian Girl’s Trip
Bali 2025
First annual “Christian Girl’s Trip”
It’s May of 2024. I’ve just taken a private jet to the Balearic Islands for a vacation. The private villa is beautiful, the chef is making paella and seafood every night, and the scenery is gorgeous. There’s just one thing that’s wrong: I’m miserable. This was the first vacation I had gone on since coming back to my relationship with God a few months prior. Of course, in order to be obedient, alcohol and partying were not an option for me anymore. So I am on this amazing trip with a bunch of other people and I’m the only one not partaking in all the festivities.
I had convinced myself, that even thought I knew this was a “turn up” trip, that I could resist the tempations and still have fun. Oh, the lies we tell ourselves lol. It was only the second night into the 6 day trip that I broke down in tears, while by myself in the villa (everyone else had gone out to a club). I felt like I was missing out. I felt like I wasn’t having as much fun as everyone else. I prayed, and was comforted with scripture from 1 Peter 4:1-6. “that he no longer should live the rest of his lifetime in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles-when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkeness, revelries, drinking parties and abominable idolatries” vs. 2-3.
Why did I put myself in that situation? The same reason that all of us who are now living through Christ do, because we still want to have fun. Most of us have spent a portion of our lives living in the world. I definitely have. I spent years working in night life, frequenting the “afties’ and living for self. That’s what I considered true enjoyment. I had to allow Christ to renew my mind and rewire what I counted as fun. In allowing Him to do that, I was given an opportunity by Luxe Tribes to host a girl’s trip and I decided to make it a space for Christian women to travel together as companions and sisters in Christ. A party-free, pressure-free, adventurous, fun, “Christian Girl’s Trip” themed vacation.
Our first “Christian Girl’s Trip” was to Bali, Indonesia in July of 2025. I and four other women came together through our mutual loves of exploring the world, adventure, and Jesus. We had a floating breakfast in a pool of flowers. We bathed and rode elephants. We learned to cook traditional Balinese food. We had some run ins with the infamous Bali monkeys. We truly did it all. Luxe Tribes provided us with amazing luxury villas, drivers to take us wherever we wanted to go and an amazing travel host that was with us every step of the way (shout-out to Pinka!) Our itinerary was packed with sight seeing, one of a kind experiences, and total immersion in the balinese culture, minus the temples of course. And the best part of this trip was the fact that I got to travel with totally like-minded women. No one was drinking. No one was going off to party. We were all on the same page of what we wanted to do and what we would not be doing, and that was the whole point!
I didn’t know what expect when I told Luxe Tribes I wanted to make this a Christian girl's trip. Not to many companies want the Christ label on them. Jesus isn’t seen as “profitable” or always “marketable”. Sometimes even the mention of God turns the crowds away. But I knew what walking in obedience looked like for me, and that’s including Christ in everything I do. Not only turning back to praise with every new opportunity but inviting Him in to take control of these opportunities as well. So I went for it and I wasn’t sure if anyone would even come. I told God “If You want me to do this trip, YOU have to provide the women”. Like always, He provided. The five of us had an amazing time in Bali and the women that came had similar stories to mine: wanting to travel but with other Christians; wanting to have new experiences but not always having people to do them with. The Lord had filled a gap for all of us. I came back from the trip immediately in my mind wanting to do it again, but just not knowing where to start. I wanted to make “Christian Girl’s Trip” an annual experience for those who missed the first and for the women who would join looking for community later on.
On top of the response from the women, Luxe Tribes also had positive feedback! I couldn't believe it when I received the email from them, wanting to plan for next year’s trip. WHATTTT??? WON’T HE DO IT! During our zoom meeting, five locations for the 2026 trip were proposed, along with Christ-centered themes for each location and they even researched local churches in every area. It took me a couple days to choose one, but I DID! While Bali was beautiful, event packed and adventurous, this location embodies luxury, relaxation and culture. Im announcing our 2026 Christina Girls Trip location very soon! Make sure you’re following the IG page, TikTok and subscribe to the email updates to find out where our next experience will take us and get your coins together for the deposit, because this will be a trip you won’t want to miss!
